Description
This certificate qualifies you to design and inspect systems for domestic dwellings where no sewer is available or the owner wants to recycle water to reduce demand on mains wastewater systems. You will learn all the steps in the process, from scoping to design to inspection, and play a valuable role that contributes to public health and the environment.
Topics include:
- Communicate with stakeholders to develop a brief for the design of an on-site wastewater management system.
- Evaluate site and soil characteristics.
- Prepare risk management plans for a specific site.
- Apply knowledge of regulatory requirements and domestic wastewater treatment processes to the selection and design of an on-site wastewater management system.
- Communicate requirements for operation, monitoring and maintenance to a range of stakeholders.
- Review designs for, and inspect, on-site wastewater management systems.
Prerequisites
You are required to be working in the industry to complete this programme. There are no additional entry requirements
