Fast track RPL - Certificate in Applying Risk Management to Water Supply (Micro-credential)

If you have already attended a Principles and Trends course or a certificate or diploma level course you can use this as Recognition of prior learning (RPL) to attend a two day course which includes a field trip and case study and assessment. Note: Awaiting NZQA approval.

Description

Topics include

  • Field trip
  • Analyse and review water supply information for the risk management of the drinking water supply
  • Plan and conduct a drinking water safety plan assessment targeting the risk management of the drinking water supply
  • Compile a report and presentation, that discusses:
    • the adequacy of the drinking water safety plan to ensure that identification of risks to public health and steps to manage those risks are included in the plan, and
    • for one specific risk identified in the drinking water safety plan, review how the supplier is implementing the plan to manage this risk.

Assessment information

Once you have completed the 2 day fast track course there will be a report/presentation assessment that is required to be completed within 6 weeks of attending the course. On successful completion of the assessment you will be awarded the Certificate in Applying Risk Management to Water Treatment Management (Micro-credential).

Prerequisites

Attended a WSP Principles and Trends course, Certificate or Diploma Water Treatment or relevant work experience within the Water/Wastewater industry.

There will be an approval process for us to check you meet the pre requisite for training and once approved you will be notified and will need to complete your registration form at that time to secure a place on the course.
