Over four busy days experts from WSP cover core wastewater treatment science and processes, and recent changes to legislation, illustrated by visits to operating treatment plants. This course finishes at 12.00pm on the last day.

The Backflow Prevention full 4 day course is delivered with a blend of classroom based theory and hands on practical learning. The course involves both theory and practical assessment to relevant NZQA unit standards. Successful completion of the course will allow people to apply to the relevant local authority and register with them to become an Independently Qualified Person (IQP) to carry out backflow work in that area.

This course offers to equip employees in the pipeline installation and maintenance industry with the essential skills and knowledge to ensure the effective disinfection of water reticulation pipework. This is a new NZQA micro-credential qualification (Level 3, 10 credits) that will enable learners to gain an understanding of pathogens, chlorination and dechlorination processes, water quality monitoring, and adherence to regulatory standards.

The Backflow Prevention Refresher Course is a one-day course with a mix of classroom based theory, to make sure you have the latest industry knowledge and best practice, and also hands on practical learning and assessment. It will ensure you still have all the skills and knowledge required to test and inspect backflow devices.

The Panel Recertification course now has the option of an Interactive Online course with a mix of online activities and live sessions run through MS Teams throughout the day. It will also help further develop the range of complex skills required to be a successful Panel member.

WSP has recognised the need for qualification-based training by developing the new Certificate in Waste Stabilisation Ponds (Micro-credential), Level 3, 20 credits.
